We are excited to launch the Asia Design-to-Make Skills Competition 2026 together with Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and look forward to your keen participation using Autodesk technology to create innovative ideas and new possibilities.

Competition Theme
Organized by ITE and Autodesk, this challenge empowers the next generation of innovators to utilize technology—from
materials science to digital systems—to secure a more stable future for the ASEAN region.
Core Objectives
Participants are tasked to Innovate, Design, and Transform by focusing on four key pillars:
1. Access: Ensuring equitable availability of resources for all communities.
2. Efficiency: Designing smarter systems that minimize waste and maximize output.
3. Resilience: Creating solutions that can withstand market volatility and environmental disruption.
4. Sustainability: Embedding renewable, circular, and low-carbon innovations into every design.
Focus Areas
Projects should address urgent energy and sustainability challenges through:
• AI & Digital Technologies
• Smart Manufacturing
• Smart Mobility Solutions
• Intelligent Energy Management
Note: All participants are required to utilize Autodesk software solutions to prototype and develop their ideas.
Competition Timeline
Entry Requirements
- Each team should comprise 2 to 4 students from Asia’s vocational institutions, technical colleges, or polytechnics (post-secondary level).
- Teams are to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative solutions that address urgent energy and sustainability challenges to ensure a more secure, resilient, and carbon-neutral future for the ASEAN region.
- Solutions must be presented through a functional physical prototype.
- The presentation slides must include the following:
- Current situation and problem statement.
- Proposed solution development.
- Results and impact (LCA – Life Cycle Assessment).
- Students are required to utilize Autodesk software solutions in the design and development of their projects.
- The local team (Singapore) is required to present their ideas and concepts to the judges in person. The overseas team will present via an online platform (e.g., Zoom or Microsoft Teams). Each presentation will last 10 minutes, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.
Competition Judging Criteria
Judging Panel
Judging Panel will comprise of professionals from Autodesk, Institutes of Higher Learning, and Industries.
*The decisions of the judges are final and binding. Should entries not meet the judging and assessment criteria, the
organisers reserve the right to reject that particular entry.
