Competition Theme
Designing for Dignity: Innovation for an Aging and Inclusive Future
This competition invites students across Asia’s technical and vocational institutions to address one of society’s most pressing challenges — an aging population. Participants will harness inclusive design, assistive technology, and sustainable innovation to create solutions that empower older adults to live, work, and thrive with dignity. Whether through smart devices, accessible environments, or AI-driven care platforms, students will explore how technology can promote longevity, independence, and equity for all.
Participants must use Autodesk’s software to design meaningful, scalable solutions that not only enhance the lives of older adults, but also build a more inclusive and sustainable world.
a. Smart Living & Aging-in-Place Solutions
Innovate home-based systems that allow seniors to live independently and safely. This may include AI, IoT-enabled environments, adaptive furniture, or energy-efficient home retrofits.
b. Sustainable Eldercare Infrastructure
Reimagine eldercare spaces such as community centres, healthcare facilities, or transport systems with a focus on AI, sustainability, accessibility, and resource-efficiency.
